Getting in shape with Pilates

I've just started getting back in shape over the past 4 months after 2+ years of being "too busy" to workout and gaining 20+ pounds, becoming a little (more) surly, and a lot more stressed out.

I started back into the world of fitness back in October with jumping back on my bike. That was an easy way to restart my fitness program. But I soon realized that one thing I had completely lost was my core strength.

How did I know?

Probably the sharp stabbing back pain that I was developing with longer rides on my bike.

Solution?

Fortunately, I lucked into discovering Pilates.

I know, if you're a Pilates instructor, then you're probably already shaking your head and thinking, "Well of course, you dumb@ss..."

I've been working on some mat Pilates classes to help with my core strength and also found Pilates is a great way to get back in shape - better endurance, strength and muscle tone.

So if you are looking to get back in shape, consider checking out a mat Pilates class.

If you happen to live near Encinitas or Carlsbad, check out this Encinitas and Carlsbad mat Pilates class.
